Mac Paint Pot In Quite Natural Review.

GAH! This chocolatey brown eyeshadow is my favourite beauty item at the moment, I bought this product as I wanted to see what the Mac Paint Pots were like, and I think I'm addicted.
  • Price - £15, I know this is more expensive that your average eyeshadow but it will last you ages and stays on for hours!
  • Purchased From - My local Mac store
  • Shade - Quite Natural is a chocolate brown which can be used for a subtle every day look or can be built up to create a smokey brown look, it's a fab day-to-night eyeshadow, Horaay!
  • Size/Amount - 5g
  • Range - 23 shades on the Mac UK website, they are all basically neutral shades, which is right up my street as I know if I buy more shades I will get good wear out of the shadows!
  • opinion - I was a bit baffled by the creamy texture to start with however I'm not phased by it anymore.. and its a dream to work with. I have found that it dries reasonably quickly so you have to work quite quickly when buffing it in, however thats never been a problem for me as I am usually in a rush anyways so don't have time to faff about! Overall I a chuffed with this purchase and would thoroughly recommend it.
  • Would I repurchase - YEEEES!

Kimonos

Hi all,

Sorry for not posting in a while, it's a busy time with exams and all!

So I'm hoping on travelling to Dubai in the Easter holidays for a break before I get stuck into exams. I've been doing my research and OBVIOUSLY been searching for new clothes!! It's clear that when holidaying in the UAE you need to cover your shoulders, and I've found that the best way to do this, whilst still staying stylish, is to wear a kimono. It's quite hard to come across a good one.

I was browsing in sainsburys and thought id nip to the clothes section, funnily enough I found a kimono. It was beautiful, black and had orange patterns on the front. However... When I put it on, even a size 8, it was HUGE... The shape was so unflattering as it just flapped around and did no favours at all.

And since the I've been looking online on Asos.. And I've found that River Island have the best selection of kimonos for both evening wear and beach.

So I recommend that if you are planning on purchasing a kimono for the forthcoming summer season... Make sure you try before you buy!!

E.L.F The Good and The Bad #3

TheE.L.F eye-lid primer has been a staple in my make-up routine since I bought the product, although I often use it as an eye shadow as it creates a beautiful bright white colour on my eyes and lasts well as it is a primer, as a primer this product helps to enhance the eye shadows on my eyes and helps them stay prominent for longer, I mean this won’t do LOADS but it does help and is defiantly worth trying as an eye shadow as it looks so soft and effortless.

*Sigh* I lack decent bronzers in my make-up bag and I recently dropped my favourite bronzer and need to fix it so I thought I would start to test out my ‘cool elf bronzer’.. and it made my face look muddy and patchy, oooh I tell  you now it was not a good look, I looked awful all day and felt so embarrassed, the colours didn’t blend well on the palate, it just looked to deep and dark on my face – even after I blended it in.

quick side note, everyone’s skin tones are different so this bronzer may work for you.

The Oscars Best & Worst Dressed

Helloooo...

BEST.

I think all of these ladies looked fabulous, I know most of these outfits have featured on numerous 'Best Dressed' blog posts but what can I say.. they looked amazing. The one thing I will say is that I think everyone played it very safe this year, my best dressed outfits are all stunning however I do think that no one looked jaw dropping and similarly no one looked really awful.

Naomi Watts    Lupita Nyong'o   Sandra Bullock  Olivia Wilde     Maria Menounos

WORST.

If I'm honest all of the outfits below arn't too bad, I just think these are all outfits that I don't really think suit the glitz and glamour of the Oscars, P.S Penelope cruz is so beautiful I think she could have looked a lot more flattering in something else *What do you think*

Liza Minelli  Ireland Baldwin    Johnny Weir   Penelope Cruz     Glenn Close

E.L.F - The Good and The Bad #2

I always underestimate how important it is to clean my make-up brushes but between school, work and catching up on pretty little liars and teen wolf I just don’t find the time to always thoroughly clean my brushes.. this is where this FAB product comes in handy, all I have to do is spray it on a cotton wool pad, swirl my brush on it a few times and it keeps the majority of germs away until I find time to do a full on brush clean! So handy, so cheap and so cheerful…

One thing I will say about this concealer is I LOVE the smell, it smells all fruity and yummy however apart from that this product was a complete waste of my money, it doesn’t last and creases a lot, I mean I wasn’t expecting much when I bought this product as it cost me like £1.50 but it literally does nothing except make me look worse! Oh well I guess we live and learn..
